Biography
Dr. Mylynda Massart is Assistant Professor of Family Medicine, Department of Family Medicine. She graduated with a PhD in Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology from University of Utah, Salt Lake City and as MD from Oregon Health & Sciences University, Portland, OR. She completed Family Medicine Residency at Providence Milwaukie Family Medicine, Milwaukie, OR. Dr. Massart completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Department of Molecular Medicine, Oregon Health & Sciences University, Portland, OR. Currently she serves as the Medical Director at UPMC Matilda Theiss Family Health Center and has a family practice with special interest in primary care genetics. Dr. Massart has a joint appointment at the Clinical and Translational Science Institute as Co-Director of the Integrating Special Populations Core, Co-Investigator on the All of Us Pennsylvania Research Program and Co-Investigator of the Pitt + Me Discovery Biobank with special interest in return of genetic results to patients and providers.

Ph.D., Co-Director of California's Precision Medicine Initiative, Governor’s Office of Planning and Research

Biography
Dr. Muir co-leads the California Initiative to Advance Precision Medicine. In this role, she works with the Precision Medicine Advisory Council and the Governor’s Office in the selection and management of grants for precision medicine demonstration projects. Her current portfolio consists of projects that aim to address health disparities in cancer prevention and treatment. Dr. Muir also manages strategic relationships with State entities and other stakeholders including community groups, academics, and private sector partners. She previously served as a Director of the Research Proposal Development Service at UC San Diego, as well as a Senior Program Associate and Science and Technology Policy Fellow in the Senate Health Committee for the California Council on Science and Technology. Dr. Muir received a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from UC San Diego, an MS in Pharmacology from Tulane University, and BS in Psychobiology from UCLA.

Biography
Dr. Brown is Cofounder/Program Director of an African American personalized precision healthcare program within a biopsychosocial-spiritual format. In an effort to address cardiovascular disease and cancer in African Americans, particularly African American women, throughout the United States, the program is creating a national African American biobank combined with genomic sequencing and bioinformatics support. The program will start with the enrollment of participants from within a Black Church network, beginning in Chicago, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Sumter, and North Charleston. The cornerstone to the enrollment into the program is spearheaded by Dr. Brown’s partner, the Reverend Hubert D. Hutcherson, M.Div., Senior Pastor of Shiloh Community Missionary Baptist Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Together, through an educational informed consent approach, Dr. Brown’s and Reverend Hutcherson’s objective is to create an African American personalized precision healthcare program throughout America, whose foundation is built on “trust”.

Biography
Dr. Beckjord is a behavioral scientist and licensed clinical psychologist in disciplined pursuit of harnessing the power of connectivity to promote authentic connection to place health, peace, and abundance within equal reach of all. Dr. Beckjord did her doctoral training in clinical psychology at the University of Vermont and the Vanderbilt-VA internship consortium and her post-doctoral work in the National Cancer Institute’s (NCI) Cancer Prevention Fellowship Program. From NCI, Dr. Beckjord spent three years in research consulting (RAND Corporation) and five years in academic medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and Hillman Cancer Center. In February 2015, she joined the UPMC Health Plan where she is focused on behavioral science, population health, health equity, and the use of digital tools in clinical operations to promote health, wellness, and health behavior change.
