Biography
Dr. Rothberg is best known for inventing next-generation DNA sequencing, for which he was awarded the National Medal of Technology and Innovation by President Obama. Dr. Rothberg is a serial entrepreneur, most recently founding the seven 4Catalyzer companies. Jonathan’s mission is to build technologies that save lives and maximize societal impact. The 4Catalyzer companies include Butterfly Network, the world's best selling ultrasound and first-ever ultrasound on a semiconductor chip. Other 4C companies include Hyperfine, Tesseract, Liminal, Quantum-Si, Homodeus, & AI-Therapeutics.
