These companies will share their innovative products to an audience of leading investors, potential clients, and partners. The PMWC 2019 Health Monitoring Showcase will exhibit the latest innovations that lead to products, systems, and services that empower patients with chronic conditions to better understand and self-manage their conditions and provide clinicians with easy, efficient monitoring that enhance patients’ lives and enable the delivery of better outcomes at lower cost.

Biography
Dr. Jin Lee is the Director of Digital Health at Astellas Pharma Inc. She focuses on new product development and commercialization globally. Dr. Lee formerly worked at the innovation centers and venture arms of Humana and Providence St. Joseph Health. She also co-founded and worked in multiple startups in the maternal/ child, education, and restaurant space.
Based in Silicon Valley, Dr. Lee advises and invests in multiple digital health startups and accelerator programs. She also serves on multiple nonprofit boards, including the American Heart Association and the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association.
Dr. Lee is a Presidential Leadership Scholar (selected by four American presidential centers) and has been a featured speaker at multiple events such as the TEDxPeacePlaza, Sirius XM radio, SXSW, American Academy of Pediatrics, and Aspen Institute Childrens Forum. She received her Ph.D in Neuropsychology from the University of Oxford and BA in Biology and Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania.

Biography
Brice Le François currently leads the technology research teams at DNA Genotek (microbiome devices) and Diversigen (microbiome services) as a Senior R&D manager. He obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa and has over 20 years of experience in research across a wide range of fields, including cancer and neuroscience. Since joining the R&D team at DNA Genotek, he has worked extensively on optimizing the stabilization and processing of human microbiome samples. His team spearheaded the development of novel tools and workflows for low biomass samples as well as novel DNA/RNA stabilization chemistries that enable multi-omics analyses of gut microbiome samples and beyond.

Biography
Oezlem Karalay obtained M.Sc. degree in Neuroscience from MPI for Developmental Biology, Tubingen. She received her doctorate in Neuroscience from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zurich. She joined QIAGEN after completion of her postdoctoral research at the MPI for Biology of Ageing, Cologne, and since then has been involved in developing the digital PCR assay portfolio, including mutation detection and CNV assays.
