Biography
Jonathan C. Silverstein, MD, MS, FACS, FACMI is the Chief Research Informatics Officer, Department of Biomedical Informatics and Visiting Professor of Biomedical Informatics, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Internationally known for his expertise and research in the application of advanced computing architectures to biomedicine, Dr. Silverstein was Vice President and Davis Family Chair of Informatics at NorthShore University HealthSystem and the associate director of the Computation Institute at the University of Chicago and Argonne National Laboratory. He most recently served as Chief Medical Informatics Officer at Tempus. Dr. Silverstein is recognized as one of three founding scientific directors of the Chicago Biomedical Consortium. He was an attending general surgeon for seven years while also serving as the lead physician informatician for enterprise EMR deployments at the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Silverstein earned his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis and his Master of Science from the Harvard School of Public Health. He is a Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and of the American College of Medical Informatics. Dr. Silverstein's research interests include Clinical Informatics, Imaging/Visualization/Virtual Reality, Vocabularies, Virtual Organizations, Learning Health Systems and Oncology Informatics.

Dr. Joseph Lehar has over 20 years experience as an innovator and executive, focused on using data and digital medicine to transform health care. Before his current activities advising venture, small companies, and incubators, Joseph led cross-functional teams and drove scientific projects at J&J/Janssen (as VP of Data Science), Google/Verily, Novartis, and CombinatoRx. He is deeply committed to boosting the careers of those around him, and is proud to serve on the board of WEST, a leading women's empowerment organization in Boston USA. Joseph brings an unusual perspective from his first career as an astrophysicist at MIT, Cambridge University, and Harvard.

Biography
John is a creative, authentic, appropriately irreverent and passionate innovator with deep-domain knowledge and experience in clinical sciences, medical device product development, regulatory and quality systems development and user-centric innovation processes. He founded Asher Orion Group LLC in April 2021 as an independent advisory and strategy firm specialized in helping digital health innovators (industrial and academic) from product concept to market introduction with a special focus helping clients build Software as A Medical Device augmented with machine learning and AI methods. John spent 20+ years in the Lifesciences industry working in medical device, healthcare IT and pharma sectors holding multiple roles of increasing complexity. Most recently, he held the role Chief Scientist of Informatics Research at GE Healthcare. He also worked at Bayer Healthcare, MEDRAD Inc. and as an independent contractor. He is inventor or co-inventor on 38 issued US Patents in addition to publishing and being an invited speaker.

KT is Senior Director of Legal and Head of Privacy at Helix, where they are responsible for counseling Helix’s business and research teams on data sharing and data privacy issues. They have a decade of experience leading privacy initiatives in the healthcare sector and advising on transactional structure, research ethics, privacy and information security, and data sharing in the context of complex population health and clinical research projects.
